PRELUDES

To prolong the emotion produced by a piece of music or to help people prepare for an opera or a concert performance, challenging their opinion and heightening their critical awareness, the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence organises a series of meetings around its performances and concerts. The Préludes, which are designed to provide an introduction to the work by shedding light on its genesis, music and libretto, take place an hour before every opera performance at the scheduled venue.
