From a sacred forest to a storm-tossed ship, the works presented at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence conjure up the deepest of emotions and reveal the power of art as a refuge. They affirm opera’s ability to serve as a compass in an unstable and ever-questioning world. — Le Soir
This 77th edition of the Festival was dedicated to the memory of Pierre Audi, and we were committed to carrying it out just as he had envisioned it.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Bernard Foccroulle, who, as a specially appointed advisor for this edition, provided us with his support.
Thanks as well to you, the festivalgoers, for your loyalty and enthusiasm!
From 4 to 21 July 2025, nearly 64,000 of you came to applaud our 5 opera productions, including two world premieres; 2 concert-versions of operas; 12 concerts; and the 38 events during Aix en juin. The 2025 Festival d’Aix featured 27 Preludes to performances, 6 Midis du Festival, 14 Tête-à-têtes with the artists and 3 professional group events.
We also thank our partners from the public sector, our private partners and donors, and our media partners Arte and France Musique, all of whom played a key role in the success of this edition.
We wish you all a wonderful summer, in the company of #THEDIGITALSTAGE, where you can (re-)watch recordings of our operas and concerts or (re-)listen to the pre-performance preludes and to interviews and panel discussions with the artists.
See you again from 2 to 21 July 2026 for the next edition of the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence!
