WAED BOUHASSOUN QUINTET

Waed Bouhassoun is a singer and oud player whose spiritual and humanist art is an expression of her Syrian cultural heritage. She will be joined on this occasion by singers and instrumentalists some of whom are members of Orpheus XXI, an ensemble of which she is co-artistic director, in which Western music interacts with Iranian, Armenian, Turkish and Syrian heritages. Together, they will be unveiling a brand-new project featuring all the songs passed down to them by their teachers and families when they were children.
