Since its creation, the Orchestre des Jeunes de la Méditerranée has sought to bring together talented young artists from all shores of the Mediterranean and to foster dialogue between the cultures of the countries concerned. The eagerly awaited collective composition featured in the programme of this concert is a prime example of that endeavour. It is the product of a symphonic session mentored by Fabrizio Cassol, with the collaboration of a quintet of musicians rooted in Mediterranean traditions. Led by its new conductor Sora Elisabeth Lee, the OJM will also be performing Mussorgsky's breathtaking Pictures at an Exhibition, Kodály's Dances of Galánta, and Ernő Dohnányi's Variations on a Nursery Tune, with the collaboration of pianist Aris Alexander Blettenberg.

This concert is part of the Saison Méditerranée 2026 by Institut français programme.
