KLANGFORUM WIEN

A “sanctuary” evening: with Tower of Babel, Klangforum Wien brings together musical creations from post-Soviet territories such as Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Russia. This constellation of recent works, composed specifically for this project, which Klangforum Wien has been pursuing since 2023, showcases a rich variety of styles and expressions, often the work of female composers. Indeed, Tower of Babel is intended as an act of faith in musical encounters, transcending the tumult of the world around us.
