Stage direction master class

Katie Mitchell [stage director], in residence at the Festival d'Aix since 2012, has staged five opera productions of the Festival d'Aix (Written On Skin, The House Taken Over, Trauernacht, Alcina, Pelléas and Mélisande). As part of this workshop, she proposes to share with the artists of the Academy her relationship with opera and, in particular, with the staging of opera. The Opera Creation Workshop offers a moment for reflection and exchange on today's artistic practices and their place in the creation of opera.
