TRIBUTE TO PETER ESPENHAHN

The Festival d’Aix-en-Provence expresses its profound sorrow at the announcement of the passing of one of its most loyal allies, Peter Espenhahn, who passed away on Wednesday, December 6th.

Peter was a discerning, humble, pragmatic, and passionately dedicated advocate of our art. His immeasurable contribution, unwavering support, and insightful guidance have left a profound mark on the Festival. We will always remember his exceptional qualities and benevolent presence by our side, year after year, within IFILAF (International Friends of the International Lyric Art Festival), where he was one of the founding fathers and served as treasurer for 12 years.

In this challenging time, we extend our deepest condolences to his family and close friends.
