‘IPHIGÉNIE EN AULIDE — IPHIGÉNIE EN TAURIDE’ NOMINATED FOR A 2024 OPERA AWARD

The Festival d’Aix-en-Provence is pleased to announce that Dmitri Tcherniakov’s production of Iphigénie en Aulide — Iphigénie en Tauride staged for the 2024 Festival d’Aix has been nominated for an Opera Award in the New Production category.
Many artists from this year's Festival also figure among the Opera Awards’ list of nominees, including Emmanuelle Haïm, who conducted Iphigénie en Aulide — Iphigénie en Tauride and was a mentor artist at the Académie’s 2024 Voice Residency; Claus Guth, who staged Samson; and Étienne Pluss, who designed the Samson set. Ermonela Jaho, the sublime Madama Butterfly; Pene Pati, the magnificent Tito in La clemenza di Tito; and Anthony León, our Telemaco in Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria, are nominees as well.
Lastly, the recording of Le Prophète, performed in concert version with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Lyon Opera chorus and the banda of musicians from the Orchestre des Jeunes de la Méditerranée at the 2023 Festival d’Aix, has also been nominated.
