2026 COLLECTIVE COMPOSITION SESSION

Since 2015, the Orchestre des Jeunes de la Méditerranée (OJM) has been offering creation sessions blending traditions, sounds, aesthetics, and instruments. Drawing on its Mediterranean partners, the OJM has organized eleven sessions in Italy, Malta, Portugal, Slovenia, Tunisia,Turkey, Greece and this year in Egypt, in partnership with El Dahshureya (Dahshur) and Cairo Conservatoire of Music.

This session highlights the instrumental and musical diversity of Europe and the Mediterranean, the current vitality and excellence of sometimes ancient musical practices, and the inspiration they represent for today's musicians.

The OJM's Collective Composition Session is part of the Saison Méditerranée 2026 by Institut français programme.
