Beethoven, a skilled and passionate pianist, supported the development of his favourite instrument, and bestowed upon the piano trio its noble reputation. The Trio Sōra — three Parisian musicians — pay him homage by performing his first opus, which includes the first works Beethoven ever published, in 1795, at age twenty-five.
