TAREK YAMANI

The multi-awarded and self-taught Lebanese-American pianist Tarek Yamani explores the relationship between Afro-American jazz and classical Arab music with virtuosity and originality. He will perform in trio – playing both piano and keyboard – and will deeply explore micro-intervals and maqams (Arabic musical scales). The worlds he thus unfolds are as exhilarating and luminous as they are subtle and refined and their seductive power can lead to trance.
