Under the direction of Konzertmeister Gottfried von der Goltz, the Freiburger Barockorchester takes a refreshing approach to a baroque itinerary. This superb historical-instrument orchestra, in residence at the Festival d’Aix, takes up the challenge of organising a wonderful moon-lit musical encounter with Bach and Handel. The two composers, who both made an indelible mark on the history of music, were born the same year but never met. This programme brings them together with some of the major works.​
