For the 5th consecutive year, The Voices of Silvacane mark one of highlights of AIX EN JUIN and make resound polyphonic magnificences under inspiring arches of the Cistercian abbey of Silvacane in La Roque d'Anthéron. A real celebration of vocal art through centuries and continents, in the course of three exceptional concerts!

This program revolves around the artistic nomadism of the Franco-Belgian composer Guillaume Dufay, who met the greatest artists in Europe, and met the most hybrid aesthetic cultures. Led by Björn Schmelzer, the vocal ensemble Graindelavoix takes us to the heart of the Italian courts of Rimini, Pesaro, Rome, Florence and Naples, and revisits this 15th century repertoire from an anachronistic perspective.
