CINEMA CYCLE — INFERNO

Upon the 2008 edition of the Festival d’Avignon, Romeo Castellucci created Inferno in the Palais des Papes and took the audience by storm. In this first part of a triptych freely inspired by the Divine Comedy, the artist experiences doubt, suffering and his own insignificance – a reminiscence of Dante’s situation, lost in a dark forest, at the beginning of his spiritual quest. Symbols, performances and artistic gestures follow one another under director Don Kent's cameras.
