From 3 to 5 July 2020, Les Rencontres Économiques d'Aix-en-Provence will become Les Rencontres Économiques #AIXENSEINE. Broadcast live from the Maison de la Radio in Paris, Les Rencontres Économiques will comprise three days of panel discussions—free, 100% online, and interactive—around the theme: DEALING WITH WORLD DISORDERS – WE’RE GOING TO MAKE IT! The event will include over 300 speakers—all outstanding figures in today’s society (academics; CEOs; heads of state; members of parliament; journalists; writers; startuppers; economists; Nobel laureates; senior OECD officials; politicians; union leaders; and student, nonprofit-sector and think-tank representatives)—with special honour being paid to the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.

 

Pierre Audi, general director of the Festival d’Aix, will take part in this unique edition of Les Rencontres Économiques, in an interview with Marc Voinchet, general manager of France Musique; during the interview, listeners will be able to ask the speakers questions live online. The exchange will take place on Saturday 4 July from 6:50 p.m. to 7:10 p.m., will focus on REAFFIRMING THE IMPORTANCE OF CULTURE.

The interview will be followed, at 9:15 p.m. on the same date, by a preview broadcast on #LASCÈNENUMÉRIQUE of Georges Bizet’s Carmen, in a production staged by Dmitri Tcherniakov and conducted by Pablo Heras-Casado for the 2017 Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.
