This summer, Aix en Juin has some great surprises in store for you and is expanding its program, giving you the opportunity to cross different musical landscapes! From June 13, at the Hôtel Maynier d'Oppède, at the Abbaye de Silvacane, at the Pavillon Noir or at the 6MIC... Discover a tasty mix of repertoires that will satisfy all tastes!
A rich and diverse program
Aix en Juin brings together daily concerts, master classes, recitals, concerts of the Mediterranean repertoire, singing and chamber music residencies at the Académie, and the results of Passerelles' artistic practice workshops... as well as a Film Cycle. So many events for a free artistic preview in emblematic places of the city. It is an opportunity to appreciate renowned artists and musicians, to discover young talents but also to attend inventive proposals led by Passerelles.
A music of varied influences
It's a real invitation to travel: Mediterranean influences, forays into North Africa, Greece and also the United States... The program also gives pride of place to female headliners and closes the month of June with a festive "Hors les murs" concert by the companies The Very Big Experimental Toubifri Orchestra, Rara Woulib and Sublimes Portes.
Highlights
Several events will take place in Aix in June: Panorama as the opening event of the Festival, the Film Cycle with films echoing the operas of July, "Les Voix de Silvacane" at the Abbey of Silvacane, the Mediterranean concerts with Asmaa Hamzaoui and the rebetiko ensemble, the Academy concerts with young artists at the Hôtel Maynier d'Oppède and the Parade[s] concert which makes its return to the Cours Mirabeau, dedicated this year to Rossini.
Diving into Aix in June means exploring 100% free artistic proposals for all tastes, before entering the July Festival! So, are you ready?
