2017 Symphonic session

The Mediterranean Youth Orchestra (MYO) organise symphonic orchestra training session designed to young future professional musicians from the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region and from the Mediterranean willing to have a professional experience of orchestral life in rehearsals, concert and on tour. Every year, almost 500 musicians have an audition. Some one hundred young musicians representing 20 or so different nationalities hired to attend the MYO's sessions. Young musicians receive a high-level training by professional orchestral musicians, work on the repertoire's symphonic masterpieces under the baton of prestigious conductors and benefit from the presence of the artists in residence at the Festival d'Aix.
In 2017, Pablo Heras-Casado conducts the traditional MYO symphonic session alongside professional musicians from the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO).

ANNUAL AUDITIONS
The Mediterranean Youth Orchestra organise annual auditions in 20 or so cities in the Mediterranean with the help of differents national youth orchestras partners to hire the finest classical musicians of the Mediterranean basin.
