OPERA MAKERS 13 AND 14 JULY

The Académie du Festival d’Aix is organising three OPERA MAKERS sessions, during which international multidisciplinary artists will be able to exchange with professionals in the sector. These sessions are designed to contribute — actively and creatively — to changes in the world of opera and the performing arts. They are being held at the heart of the Festival, and will thus benefit from the innovative energy and vitality provided by the Académie’s residencies, which unite artist-creators and performers through a wide variety of aesthetics.

OPERA PROJECTS OPEN TO CO-PRODUCTIONS
THURSDAY 13 JULY, 3–5:30 P.M.   Hôtel Maynier d’Oppède

Eight opera or musical-theatre projects will be presented by their creative teams. The session, which focuses on innovative potential co-productions, is aimed at institutions, co-producers, distributors, and organisations that provide advice and support for such projects. Each team will offer a 10-minute presentation, followed by a 5-minute Question and Answer period. A global ‘project bible’ will be distributed to participants on the day of the presentations.

This first session will conclude with a friendly cocktail reception.
