The Total Foundation

In 2015, the Total Foundation has supported educational programmes at the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, together with one of this year's major productions, The Monster in the Maze. The opera, created in collaboration with the London Symphony Orchestra, brought together local children's, young people's and adult choirs, singers from the Festival d'Aix's Academy and musicians from the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra.

Educating children about art

Convinced that access to culture from a young age is key to self-confidence and respect for others, the Total Foundation supports numerous initiatives that foster artistic and cultural education for children and young people. These projects are rooted in long-term partnerships with the Opéra national de Paris, the Opéra Comique and the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence established since 2008, which reach almost 4,000 children every year.

Total's corporate patronage department also supports the educational and cultural actions of the Opéra de Lyon, the Orchestre de Pau and some 60 non-profit organizations in the framework of the French government's "Priorité jeunesse" youth development program, aimed at facilitating access to culture and artistic activities for children. Altogether, these programs serve almost 75,000 children from 25 regions in Metropolitan and Overseas France.

HSBC

Partner to the European Academy of Music

Committed to sponsoring talented young performers,  HSBC France joins forces with the Académie du Festival d'Aix to support a new group of laureates every year. Every year since 2006, the Festival's artistic direction selects a new set of singers, pianists, voice coaches and chamber music ensembles. HSBC France supports these young artists, the HSBC Laureates, chosen among the Académie's most promising young performers, enabling them to further the experience acquired at the Académie by taking part in recitals and concerts in France and abroad.

In the field of education, the Fondation HSBC pour l'Éducation was created at the end of 2005 under the aegis of the Fondation de France. Every year, the bank commits to supporting initiatives aimed at using culture to facilitate access to education for young people from underprivileged communities. The Foundation's Executive Committee is firmly convinced that culture can help young people broaden their horizons, develop their personality and give them a taste for learning.

Furthermore, in 1995, HSBC France created the Prix HSBC pour la Photographie, which every year supports two talented young photographers by exhibiting their works in France and abroad and publishing a monograph.

The Orange Foundation

The Orange Foundation has been a faithful partner to the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence since 1999.

It supported the creation and development of the European Academy of Music dedicated to the professional development of young singers and has subsequently supported educational and socio-artistic initiatives. Since 2014, it has chosen to support live recording and broadcasting of opera productions in several cities and venues in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, thereby promoting broader access to opera.

This partnership is an integral part of the corporate patronage action of the Orange Foundation, which has been contributing to promotion of vocal music since 1987 by supporting voice ensembles and groups, festivals and opera houses engaged in initiatives to build awareness of musical creation among new audiences.

GPI

GPI is a regional patent attorney with expertise in numerous economic sectors, more particularly in the industrial and services sectors. It also boasts specialized expertise in the fields of aeronautics, mechanical engineering and information technology. GPI is a locally based company on a human scale that aims to be an ideal partner to companies on a day-to-day basis.

The company was set up in Aix-en-Provence some years ago and was keen to make a commitment over several years to supporting the Festival d'Aix  through the Club Campra, which brings together Provence-based businesses sponsoring the Festival.
This is a long and sustainable commitment that contributes to development of the Festival's action, including socio-educational and socio-artistic initiatives, in the PACA region and strengthens ties between art and the corporate world.
