The thirty years old Portuguese accordionist João Barradas has established himself as one of today’s most outstanding instrumentalist. This exceptionally talented musician has been rewarded for his works as a composer-performer and improviser, at the crossroads of cultures and inspirations. The Festival d’Aix is the central stage of a three solos cycle thought to explore the full potential of his unique instrument – designed especially for him.
