The courtyard of the Hôtel Maynier d’Oppède becomes the setting for an extraordinary meeting between jazz and Middle Eastern music. Sophie Alour, one of the most sought-after saxophonists of our day and winner of the 2020 Django Reinhardt Prize, performs here in a sextet, in which the oud adds new and unique colour. Opening the evening will be Cairo Jazz Station, an ensemble that originated from an MYO intercultural session and that unites virtuoso instrumentalists from throughout the Mediterranean.
