OPÉRA DE-CI DE-LÀ

Mini-operas

Aix-en-Provence
12 June

Johannes Kepler was a great Renaissance scholar, who, like Galileo and Copernicus, profoundly revolutionized astronomy and physics. In his treaty The Harmony of the World, published in the early seventeenth century, he described the universe with ideas borrowed from music. This astonishing comparison between science and art has inspired the creators and performers of the Académie in the creation of four mini-operas with innovative forms — four portraits of courageous women —, performed in some of the city’s most iconic venues.
