Ambition, betrayal, frivolity, manipulation, and forbidden love: life at the British court at the beginning of the 18th century is a game of influence and thus echoes the intrigues of The Coronation of Poppea. But in this historical movie by Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lánthimos, a queen is at the centre of all the female rivalries. It stars Rachel Weisz, Emma Stone and Olivia Colman, who won best actress Oscar in 2018 for her performance as Queen Anne.
