The English Voices choir, which has enchanted many nights at the Archevêché, will be offering an a capella celebration of the revival of religious music that began with Rossini and Bruckner and continued the following century with Stanford and Duruflé.
Souvnans —a project initiated by four artists from the company Rara Woulib in Marseille and a jazz quartet— will be inviting the Afrimayé choir and Worksongs, a multicultural choir launched by the Festival d’Aix and by Passerelles, its socio-artistic department, in a hitherto-unseen performance. These seventy artists will lead the audience on a journey of song and dance through the acoustics and spaces of the Abbaye de Silvacane.
Young artists from the vocal residency will be performing lieder and mélodies with a nocturnal theme, including works by Bellini, Brahms, Chausson, Debussy, Schubert and Martin.
Free shuttles to and from the Abbaye will be available. More informations on each event page.
