PARADE[S], DISCOVER THE PROGRAMME OF 24 JUNE!
The big day is coming! On Sunday, 24 June, the Cours Mirabeau of Aix-en-Provence welcomes PARADE[S], a festive and participatory event, a genuine prologue to the opera Orfeo & Majnun!
This European project, which was conceived by Airan Berg and Martina Winkel, brings out the resonances between the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice and the Arab legend of Laylâ and Majnûn: two of the greatest love stories of the East and the West. Combining urban strolls and operatic creation, this participatory project, which joins the MP2018 Quel Amour! cultural season, welcomes hundreds of amateur artists of all ages and all milieus, alongside the partners of the Passerelles team of the Festival d’Aix. Under the artistic direction of Airan Berg, the event is an occasion for big and small to come celebrate dialogue between western and eastern culture. Come participate in the different workshops starting in the early afternoon: Create your animal creature, dance and discover the performances and other surprises alongside Roger Titley’s fantastic creatures!
Follow the creative precess of Orfeo & Majnun on its dedicated website!
Orfeo & Majnun is supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, the Fondation Bettencourt Schueller, The Eloise Susanna Gale Foundation, the Fonds Chœur à l’ouvrage and the Fondation d'entreprise Total.
