As part of the Festival Les Art'Scènes, Lea Desandre and Thomas Dunford play the programme From Venice to Paris at the Graslin theatre in Nantes (Angers Nantes Opéra) on 23 April this year. The mezzo-soprano will be accompanied by Thomas Dunford on the theorbo, a large lute used in baroque music. Together, they perform several centuries of French songs, from the Baroque age to the Belle Époque, with French dances and melodies by Lambert, Charpentier, Le Camus, Marais, d’Ambruys, de Visée.
This summer at the Festival d'Aix, the duo will propose another romantic wander full of contrasts and emotions in the courtyard of the Hotel Maynier d’Oppède.
