We are proud to announce that ACCENTS BALKANS—the 2020 artistic project supported by Passerelles, the educational department of the Festival d’Aix—has been shortlisted for the FEDORA Education Prize, which is awarded to innovative and inclusive educational projects.
Thanks to you—audience members, artists, partners, friends, or any other curious or interested parties—we have a chance to win! Please share this article with those around you, and vote now online for ACCENTS BALKANS! At the end of the voting process, the project with the most votes will be among the four finalists.

As a homage to the music of the Balkans and Eastern Europe, this program draws on the legacy of popular traditions and the classical repertoire, and the echoes of works in contemporary music, with a commissioned piece by the Serbian composerJug Marković. This concert—which you may discover on 6 June 2020 as part of Aix en juin, the prelude to the Festival d’Aix—will be conducted by Philippe Franceschi and Sébastien Boin, and will include musicians of the group Aksak and of the Aix-Marseille University Symphony Orchestra (OSAMU), as well as an amateur chorus of roughly 200 students and teachers from around the region.

To vote, simply go to the concert’s project page and click on the button marked “vote for this project.” To validate your vote, you will need to create your FEDORA account by clicking on the “sign up” button or by directly identifying yourself via your Facebook account.
Voting ends on Friday, 28 February 2020, at midnight. And be sure to share the voting link with everyone around you, by email or via social media with the hashtag #ACCENTSBALKANS!
