Dido and Aeneas will be broadcast free on 12 July and live from 10pm on a big screen in twenty-four towns in Provence: Aix-en-Provence, Barcelonnette, Cabriès-Calas, Cotignac, Cucuron, Digne-les-Bains, Gémenos, Jonquières, La Ciotat, L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Manosque, Martigues, Meyrargues, Miramas, Pertuis, Rians, Rousset, Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Septèmes-les-Vallons, Tallard, Toulon, Venelles, Vitrolles ; and in ten foreign countries. As a family or a group of friends, come and join us all at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence!
A pre-recorded version of Ariadne auf Naxos will be broadcast in Martigues (Cinéma Jean Renoir) on 18 July at 7pm, Aix-en Provence (Parc Rambot) on 18 July at 9:30pm and in Cucuron (Cinéma Le Cigalon) on 19 July at 10pm.
A pre-recorded version of Dido and Aeneas will also be broadcast in Aix-en Provence (Musée Granet) on 19 July, Digne-les-Bains (Cinéma le cinétoiles) on 19 July at 9pm, La Ciotat (Cinéma le Lumière) on 19 July at 9pm, La Roque-d’Anthéron (Abbaye de Silvacane) on 15 July at 9:30pm, Pertuis (Cinéma le Lubéron) on 19 July at 9pm, Toulon (festival Liberté Ville) on 16 July.
Launched in Aix-en-Provence in 2008 as part of the Instants d'été, the free live projections from the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence extend its regional, national and international influence, thanks to the support of the CIC, Lyonnaise de Banque, the Fondation Orange, Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Régie culturelle régionale de la Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and ARTE.
